Invitation To Fashion Events

Jungfraujoch

few days before my 25th Birthday was in my mail box in a pickup Niederscherli reporting the post. A letter was waiting for my receipt. With mixed feelings I went to the post office Niederscherli and received an envelope of Jungfrau Railways. I had won a contest. A voucher for a winter season pass in the Jungfrau region. Hammer.

2 weeks ago I made my way to the Bernese Oberland. The wonderful winter weather lured me to the Jungfraujoch. I had never been there. Via Lauterbrunnen (where I cashed the voucher ) drove I little on the Scheidegg. From there, it should go after a small break to the Jungfrau. Top of Europe. Heja. The Jungfraubähndli filled slowly but surely, with tourists from all over the world. Finally started the 50-minute ride. Already got the ticket-checker. I proudly held out to him my nigel to receive brand-new card. He asked me politely, "How far do you drive?" THE thought what then? "Jungfraujoch" I answered. "Your card is only valid up to the Eiger glacier station. That I was of course terribly embarrassing. Finally, he explained to me that my card was a ski pass and reach the slopes now times only to the Eiger glacier would. Au Backe! Straight I disappeared from the little train. I decided to go home. At the station I waited for the oncoming little train and went with the small back to the Scheidegg. During the trip, I decided to use the Pra chtswetter and yet to solve a connection ticket for 53 francs.

Finally, I ended up still on the Jungfraujoch.

The unit impressed me hard. The underground multi-storey railway station, the Ice Palace, the Quick-Lift (over 100m) up hiding the "Sphinx" and of course the breathtaking views of one side of the Aletsch glacier down the Konkordiaplatz the Valais and on the other side of the viewing direction home under a thick, thick fog coat. Left and right, just mountains, mountains, mountains.

I ate some lunch and wrote three postcards. At half past two I wanted to take the return-Bähndli. Too bad that I was in the station can not handle, and the train until about 5 minutes before half-discovered ... This course was full as full. Meanwhile, the number of tourists was in fact arrived. I had squandered my early-riser-bonus itself. Anyway, I found no place. So I finally sat down in the little train at the very front doors in the outside area on a fold-Sitzlein. There I could at least stretch their legs. We started the journey, slowly and slowly towards the Kleine Scheidegg. Heading stopped the Bähndli in the seemingly endless tunnel 2 more times. (Anklimatisieren on) This time not stay for the passengers as the drive up, but only to plunder charge. For example, cardboard bundle up at my entrance. At the station "Eiger glacier of drivers at once opened the door to the cab and said," Will not you come sit up front then you would see more? " I was totally flabbergasted, saying only, so happy, because I have been to the front - again on a folding Sitzlein. And experienced something truly unique. The platoon commander was a nice and we chatted a little. I wish the ride would never end anymore and I could go on and on. On the Kleine Scheidegg arrived, I was quite weak in the knees, said goodbye and got out. I felt incredible, my luck could not even grasp and had to suppress tears. Krass ...

Slowly, the fog pressed from the lowlands into the mountain valleys. Via Grindelwald I drove back home. Back in the murky cover, my heart full sun.
